Jacks participation in Darin’s Sharp Shooter Hockey program was one of the highlights of his hockey experience. Darin was able to pull together a small group of great kids and turn them into a high performance team in a matter of weeks. Every child developed new skills, learned new techniques and left a better all around player. The most amazing thing was watching it all applied in a tournament with remarkable success. The group excelled as a team and each player grew individually.

Our son, Hunter, played on the 2010 Sharp Shooters 02 Mite team and had an absolute blast. The coaching was excellent. Coach Darin is passionate about hockey and has years of experience, but his greatest passion is sharing his love of hockey with kids. He understands the game and helps the kids understand the game. They learn to think like a hockey player right from the start. They learn every position to help understand the game as a whole better. He works on all aspects of player development from skill development to team building. He always looks for the best opportunities for the kids too. He finds teams that will challenge his team and help them grow. Coach Darin is also attentive to the needs of each player. He checks in with the parents and kids regularly and is always willing to talk one-on-one. Hunter loves, respects, and trusts Coach Darin. He even likes to dress like him! Hunter had to work hard at practices, but he saw how hard work paid off. Hunter also loved being on a "short bench," which allowed each of the boys to have much more playing time. Our whole family had a great experience with Sharp Shooters and we would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to become a confident hockey player. Awesome!

The Ma family would like to thank Darin Scott for providing Brendan with one of the best hockey experiences. The Sharp Shooter's development program provided Brendan with ample opportunities to learn and play other positions beyond his usual role as a defensemen. To summarize, the development in 10 weeks was very focused, intensive, and always fun! Coach Darin's passion for teaching the game was evident in the significant effort he has placed into a system that has proven itself. Coach Darin provided individual coaching that elevated Brendan's confidence to make smart decisions and to trust his natural skills. There is no doubt Brendan had an awesome 10 weeks skills development which ended with a tournament championship at the 2010 LA Jr Kings May Classic.

You taught him determination and discipline, and gave him skills that will persist in hockey and beyond. We can vouch that the breadth of skills and lessons you have taught him will sure be amplified over the years. You all were truly an inspiration on and off the ice. We believe that there could be no better "mentor/coach" than yourself to take the players' skill to the next level. Nurturing a group of "8 year olds" in a short window of "2 months" and making the team win the challenging Memorial Day Championship is nothing short of a marvel.
